In 2018, we began with a WhatsApp group with a simple hypothesis: people in tier-2/3 towns weren’t really using the internet meaningfully yet. We believed that if we started with local content in their own language, they’d come back every day; once there was a habit and trust, that same space could naturally grow into classifieds and, eventually, something they used for almost everything online.This spark became Lokal. About the role :
We are looking for a hands-on Performance Marketing professional to manage end-to-end digital marketing—from running ads and creating content ideas to tracking and optimizing performance.
This is a high-ownership role where you will be responsible for results, not just execution. Training and guidance will be provided.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns on Meta & Google Ads
- Manage targeting, budgets, creatives, and campaign performance
- Improve CPL/CPA, CTR, and conversion rates
- Create and test ad creatives, copies, and messaging angles
- Track daily performance and maintain simple reports (Sheets/Excel)
- Own marketing performance and run A/B tests across creatives, targeting, and copies.
Requirements :
Must-Have
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Meta Ads / Google Ads
- Understanding of campaign structure, targeting, and core KPIs
- Strong content sense and comfort with numbers & dashboards
- Working knowledge of Google Sheets / Excel
- Strong ownership and problem-solving attitude
- Willing to experiment, learn, and work independently
- Outcome-focused rather than task-driven
Good-to-Have
- Canva or basic design skills
- Landing page optimization & A/B testing experience &
- Basic funnel and UTM knowledge
- End-to-end ownership of marketing
