We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, is excited about building products from the ground up, have strong experience and proficiency in React and Python, and will be responsible for developing and maintaining our frontend infrastructure for all AlphaVerse products.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end development and operations of high-performance web applications
- Collaborate with backend developers to create user-friendly and responsive web applications
- Write clean, well-documented code with appropriate test coverage
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging production issues
- Be on-call on a rotating basis
- Help establish engineering best practices and coding standards
- Mentor future junior team members as we scale
Requirements
- Able to thrive in the crucible of an extremely fast-paced, demanding start-up like environment
- Able to bear immense responsibility for high-stakes, large-scale production infrastructure
- Strong proficiency in React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Proficient in Python with some understanding of how it works at the lower level
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful services
- Understanding of web applications performance optimization techniques
- Experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Datastore,Cloud Storage
- Experience with PostgreSQL (or an equivalent SQL database)
- Some knowledge of financial markets and instruments is a plus
