The Principal Associate will drive hyperlocal inventory planning, optimize stock levels, and enhance supply chain efficiency, collaborating with various teams.
About the role:
We are seeking a Hyperlocal Inventory Planning Manager to drive localized inventory optimization across multiple regions. This role will be responsible for ensuring product availability at a micro-market level, balancing demand forecasting, replenishment, and supply chain efficiency. The ideal candidate will work closely with supply chain, fulfillment, and retail teams to enhance last-mile availability and reduce stock imbalances.
Key Responsibilities
Hyperlocal Demand Forecasting & Inventory Optimization
- Develop localized inventory planning models to ensure product availability in high-demand areas
- Analyze real-time sales trends, customer behavior, and regional demand patterns to optimize stock levels.
- Implement dynamic inventory replenishment strategies based on demand fluctuations
Multi-Node Inventory Distribution & Stock Placement
- Optimize inventory allocation across warehouses dark stores, and retail outlets
- Ensure fast-moving SKUs are prioritized in high-demand locations to minimize lost sales
- Track key inventory KPIs, including stockout rates, fill rates, order accuracy, and inventory turnover
Supply Chain Coordination & Fulfillment Efficiency
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and last-mile delivery teams to ensure timely replenishment.
- Work with category team to improve lead times for localized stock availability
Process Improvement & Automation
- Develop and implement hyperlocal inventory automation tools to improve decision-making
- Work closely with tech teams to integrate real-time demand signals into inventory planning systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Data Analytics, or Business.
- 5+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain, or demand forecasting.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, grocery, or last-mile fulfillment is preferred.
- Expertise in demand forecasting, inventory modeling
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
