Principal Consultant (Data Consultant)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: 13+ Years
• Should have experience in consulting for digital projects for clients in two or more of the following domains is highly desirable: light engineering industry, machine manufacturers, metals industry, aerospace, building materials, food & beverages, agriculture, automotive, electrical, electronics manufacturing, consumer goods, construction industry, chemicals and similar domains.
• Must have experience in managing and creating digital products, software and digital platforms. Hence, experience in creating digital solutions for smarter factories, connected products, creating connected customer solutions or digital services for new revenue is essential. 
• Prior experience of working as a business consultant implementing use cases across one or more of the following areas is essential: business intelligence, data engineering, data science, generative AI, artificial intelligence.
• Should have knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau or Looker would be beneficial. 
• Strong understanding of data architecture fundamentals such as data warehouse, data pipelines, data lakes and modern data platforms.
• Must have knowledge of at least one hyperscaler AWS, Azure, Google especially their data and AI services. 
• Should have previously worked on creating various AI use cases. In this process the candidate would have knowledge of core AI concepts such as machine learning, generative AI, computer vision, deep learning. The candidate may also have knowledge of various types of LLMs, MLOps and commonly used AI algorithms. 
• Should have experience in conducting client workshops and ability to engage with them to elicit their business requirements and product requirements is essential.
• Must have an entrepreneurial mindset to work on new business opportunities for new revenue, working together with globally distributed sales experts and Account owners. Hence, it is essential to have experience in creating responses to customer requests (RFPs or RFIs) as well as creating proactive client reach out for new solutions.
• Experience as a product owner especially in creating and championing customer and product vision, identifying and documenting customer needs, managing the product backlog, prioritizing the requirements, planning and creating roadmaps for MVP.
• Must be fluent in waterfall as well as in agile delivery model with experience of working with requirement management tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps.
• Must demonstrate an ability to make and effectively communicate decisions. The candidate should know how to disagree, how to address opposition or rejection, how to navigate the conflicts in multi-stakeholder requirement and how to build consensus.
• Should have ability to work and collaborate with a cross functional global team consisting of architects, business consultants, visual designers, technologists, project managers and presales experts.
• This role will involve high degree of exposure to clients, and multiple internal stakeholders. Hence, good written and verbal communication skills are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understanding the client’s business use cases and technical requirements and be able to convert them into technical design which elegantly meets the requirements.
• Mapping decisions with requirements and be able to translate the same to developers.
• Identifying different solutions and being able to narrow down the best option that meets the client’s requirements.
• Defining guidelines and benchmarks for NFR considerations during project implementation
• Writing and reviewing design document explaining overall architecture, framework, and high-level design of the application for the developers
• Reviewing architecture and design on various aspects like extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, NFRs, etc., and ensure that all relevant best practices are followed.
• Developing and designing the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; and defining technologies, patterns, and frameworks to materialize it
• Understanding and relating technology integration scenarios and applying these learnings in projects
• Resolving issues that are raised during code/review, through exhaustive systematic analysis of the root cause, and being able to justify the decision taken.
• Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
