About the role
We are seeking a Principal Data Analyst based in India to play a vital role in enhancing our analytics operations within the Center for Data and Insights (CDI). In this position, you will collaborate closely with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders worldwide, engaging in ad hoc analysis, storytelling, dashboard creation, and reporting. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our analytics capabilities by leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies to develop next-generation data products.
Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work directly with diverse business users to cultivate strong relationships, engage in discussions about business trends, and effectively manage stakeholder expectations related to analytics tasks
- Cross-Functional Partnerships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement analytics and reporting tools necessary for disseminating certified dashboards and impactful presentations
- Data-Driven Recommendations: Translate stakeholder discussions into cohesive, well-informed business recommendations based on factual data, utilizing structured analytical thinking and advanced data visualization techniques
- AI-Driven Analytics Products: Lead the development of AI-driven analytics products and services, leveraging machine learning and predictive modeling to enhance data insights and decision-making processes
- Database Management: Utilize expertise in working with extensive, complex databases, OLAP engines, data warehouses, and data lakes through SQL or SQL-like interfaces to conduct in-depth analysis and support data-driven initiatives
- Customer Service Excellence: Foster a culture of responsive customer service and high-quality output by maintaining effective communication at all levels, ensuring seamless execution of tasks, and swiftly addressing unexpected challenges
- Insight Deck Creation: Collaborate across teams to prepare comprehensive insight decks for the leadership team, documenting the impact of strategic initiatives on key metrics and monitoring progress toward organizational goals
- Performance Metrics Monitoring: Collaborate with leadership to define and track key performance metrics, ensuring that analytics efforts align with strategic objectives and deliver actionable insights
In the role of Principal Data Analyst, you will be working as an individual contributor and report to the Director, Data Analytics. This role is based out of Hyderabad, India.
About You
You bring over 15+ years of extensive experience in data analysis, advanced analytics, and statistical methodologies, along with a proven track record in experimentation and optimization
- 12+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and Python, coupled with proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Power BI
- Demonstrated experience in building data products and self-service analytics solutions that empower stakeholders
- Proven ability to create compelling and actionable presentations and visualizations tailored for executive audiences
- Strong understanding of defining KPIs, as well as experience with statistical and predictive modeling, descriptive statistics, and experimental design
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for data storage, processing, and analysis
- Experience managing and analyzing large datasets (terabytes of data and billions of records) to drive insights and inform decision-making
- Ability to work effectively in a globally matrixed organization, fostering collaboration across teams
- Knowledge of AI applications for analytics is highly desirable, enhancing our ability to leverage cutting-edge technology in data analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, providing a strong foundational knowledge and expertise
