As a Principal QA Engineer, you will lead QA efforts, define test strategies, collaborate with teams, oversee test activities, and report on software quality KPIs while fostering an inclusive culture.

Common accountabilities:
- Apply advanced technical knowledge to help the team achieve shared goals and quality standards; lead in your area of expertise and mentor Specialists and Senior Specialists as needed.
- Understand how key business drivers (for example, revenue, customer satisfaction, and time-to-market) affect your area; analyze complex, cross-functional problems; improve processes; recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans; and communicate complex information clearly.
- Work with a high level of autonomy while aligning with management direction and collaborating across teams; lead or contribute to cross-functional projects and support planning for resources and budget.
Specific accountabilities:
- Define and maintain the test strategy and plan for the project, product, or release; align with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Green IT guidelines, Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL), Software Test Development Lifecycle (STDL), and industry Quality Assurance (QA) standards.
- Establish clear decision-making and communication pathways between Amadeus and customer stakeholders; partner with customers during User Acceptance Testing (UAT); and clarify testing requirements for internal and cross–Business Unit (BU) work.
- Oversee test activities, including the execution of brush tests (initial quick-validation tests); monitor and review results from Quality Assurance (QA) Engineers’ test campaigns; and provide timely sign-offs for functional, non-functional, regression validations, and releases.
- Monitor software quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across testing phases; track issues; drive preventive and corrective actions; and ensure traceability to support long-term reliability and maintainability.
- Deliver clear, regular quality reports to stakeholders (QA Engineers, Product Definition Analysts, and Software Development Engineers), summarizing progress, risks, and mitigation plans; collaborate with development, product/commercial, and cross-functional testing teams to prioritize requirements and streamline execution.
