Position Overview
Autodesk, the leading Design and Make Software Company, is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join the Autodesk Platform Services Engineering team in Bangalore, India.
In this position, you will play a significant role in building the Autodesk Computing Platform(ACP) and Translation Service, which delivers scalable, resilient, secure and cost efficient computing resources in the cloud to power Autodesk applications in industries of manufacturing, architecture, engineering and construction, as well as media and entertainment with highly efficient, flexible data management, and large models viewing and translation capabilities.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with global Engineering teams, Product Managers and Software Architects to shape technical solutions for ACP/Translation Service
Communicate tech solutions and project status with global teams and stakeholders
Implement the tech solutions in agile iterations from design to code, testing and deployment with engineering disciplines for resiliency, scalability and security compliance
Optimize the system for security, performance, resiliency, scalability and cost efficiency improvement goals
Troubleshoot and fix customer reported issues
Participate in on-call and customer support rotations
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or related technical field
10+ years of cloud services development experience
8+ years of hands-on software development experience in Go, Scala, Java, NodeJS, HTTP/REST
Strong experience in designing, implementing and optimizating scalable, high-performance large distributed computing systems
Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Batch, Step Functions, Redis, Aurora, DynamoDB, Lambda
Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) principles and tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
Experience implementing unit and integration tests
Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Good communication skill and teamwork spirit
