Role overview:

In pursuit of our mission, we are looking for a Product Designer to join our Design team. We are looking for smart, creative, energetic and passionate individuals to make an instant impact.

We are looking at hiring a designer who :

  • Can understand our product or have experience working with complex enterprise products.

  • Have the ability to see and understand the requirements beyond the problem statements.

  • Can understand user insights & requirements.

  • Have the ability to quickly adapt to the product and take ownership of it.

  • Have the ability to collaborate with other teams and focus on finding feasible solutions for execution.

  • Is not afraid to speak up when necessary and to learn.

  • Can empathize users as well as the team to find the right balance.

  • Can translate requirements into user-friendly designs.

  • Have growth-mindset, open and receptive to feedback and can adapt quickly in a fast- paced environment.

  • Can perform user testing and understand how design can affect metrics/goals.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years experience working as a product designer shipping preferably for an enterprise or a complex product.

Portfolio with a minimum of 2 case studies is a must. Save the effort to apply if you don’t have a portfolio or you have a random Dribbble or Behance portfolio showcasing cool UI with no use case behind.

About the interview:

  • R1: Introductory call with our Founding Product Designer (15 minutes). This step is to get to know you better and help you learn more about us. We’ll talk about your background and prior projects/experiences, what drives and motivates you, and what you seek in your next role.

  • R2: Design portfolio review (1 hour) with Founding Product Designer.

  • R3: Take home design task (Max of 2-3 hours time required). 

  • R4: Design task debrief and presentation (1 hour) with our Founding Product Designer and CTO.

  • R5: Behavioral + Cultural Alignment with the founding team (1 hour).
    We’re going to be looking for specific examples of times in your past roles when you have demonstrated high ownership skills and an execution-minded attitude that is critical to success as part of our team.

  • R6: Bar raiser with our founder and CEO (30 minutes).
    This step is a way for us to understand your motivation, values and attitude. We’ll want you to give us specific instances where you’ve either demonstrated a behavior (maybe you didn’t settle?) or achieved something that means you’re likely to be a really good fit here.
