Job Description

We are seeking a Product Manager who is a self-starter, ready to learn and experiment, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. A key driver of success will be the ability to focus on the highest leverage activities in the face of rapid change and new information, and the ability to independently drive activities all the way to successful completion. Product management will be a focal point in our strategy to deliver world-class Alternative Payments Products to market, and the Product Manager role is a key piece of that vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support the product strategy, go-to-market plans, and product design documents (including concept documents, business cases, and product requirements) for the Alternative Payments platform.
• Identify new product and service opportunities, collaborating with various Visa regions to gather and document business requirements for new product features and functionality.
• Work closely with technology and cross-functional teams to launch products successfully.
• Coordinate and author product documentation and communications.
• Create and manage product-related workspaces, artifacts, and audit trails for the team.
• Develop expertise in the product to handle first-line queries and support requests from cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot and analyze BAU product issues while monitoring ongoing product performance.
• Analyze and report on product trends regularly.
• Support the development of the product roadmap to define and achieve product goals and strategies.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of Visa’s products to aid the product team in enhancing product features and functionality, leveraging existing capabilities when appropriate.
• Understand market trends, competition, and user requirements.
• Interpret market research to provide insights to the team and product management leaders, informing decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with internal Visa teams (including regional teams, technology, client services, other Visa product teams, risk, and other relevant groups) to define and execute a cohesive strategy for specific products or features.
• Work closely with Engineering teams across different time zones to bring ideas from concept to commercialized product.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification

• 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with payment systems (Alternative Payments, card networks, ACH, RTP, SWIFT, digital wallets, Open banking, and Buy Now, Pay Later).
• Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to diverse audiences in an accessible manner, coupled with strong documentation skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualification

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on execution, working collaboratively with various counterparts across multiple functional groups.
• Quick learning ability regarding internal Visa systems and their integration.
• Proficiency in influencing, negotiating, and driving results, ensuring adherence to timelines and early identification of project risks.
• Flexibility to collaborate with Engineering teams across different time zones.
