About the role
The Product Manager – Automation Operations within the Business Transformation team, which is part of the D&T CTO organization, will work closely with teams across Haleon, to define, implement and deliver Automation solutions, in line with the priorities and demand from business teams across all Haleon. They will use a range of automation technologies to solve business problems across all value streams within Haleon and help to maximize value for money over the lifecycle of various automation products in the Haleon enterprise landscape. You will partner with Automation Architect and other Product Managers and Service teams, third party vendors and service providers to ensure increased stability of the automation platform.
The Product Manager (Automation Operations) will be accountable for working with their product team to define stable and robust Automation solutions across platforms, like Automation Anywhere, IBM Watson, MS Power Automate etc. They will possess Automation delivery lifecycle knowledge, automation engagement experience and technical knowhow required to be able to provide technical guidance and advice to their product teams and business process / delivery owners. They will ensure that delivered Automation solutions are functionally fit for purpose, meet the priorities & requirements from our stakeholders (e.g. alignment to business process & solution architecture design principles) and deliver value to our end users. They will have domain specific technical and functional experience and be accountable for technical artifacts (such as system requirements, Disaster Recovery) and ensure full compliance with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements.
This role will be a part of our Business Technology Transformation team, reporting to the Head of Automation.
Key responsibilities
- Own the Automation platform from a tech perspective and work with vendor teams to ensure smooth ongoing support.
- Ownership of infrastructure and Azure platform.
- Act as Technical SME and lead internal and vendor teams to visualize and execute a technical architecture roadmap for the RPA platform/infrastructure while working with the RPA Product Owner.
- Responsible for leading and executing Automation Platform migrations and upgrades according to the technical roadmap.
- Responsible for assignment and operational management of various RPA infrastructure components like MS Azure VM’s, CyberArk, Sailpoint etc.
- Quality, Risk & Compliance: Accountable for ensuring all products supporting the business are compliant with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements e.g. GxP, SARBOX and that Tech continuity plans are in place for all business-critical products.
- Work with SOX and Technical Security Risk (TSR) teams to perform audits regularly and ensure audit findings are closed with agreed timelines.
- Work with vendor Operations team to ensure prompt and effective incident / problem management. Ensure service requests are addressed within defined Service Level Agreements.
- Work with our automation suppliers to raise software-level issues, assess performance and drive resolution of product related issues.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with infrastructure, cloud hosting services team, automation platform and cloud teams in case of major incident management.
- Engage and collaborate with various Business Units who are the Automation/RPA Platform users and informing respective stakeholders for any downtime of the platform and its impact on bots running in production environment.
Expected Experience
- 8+ years of experience of working with automation solutions in these areas:
- Hands on experience in Robotic Process Automation on platforms like Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath, Power Automate
- Proficiency in augmenting automation solutions with other Digital technologies like GenAI, Chatbots and other AI/ML technologies to architect transformations.
- Proficiency and hand-on exposure to AI/ML based automation solutions is highly desirable.
- Understanding of ERP / enterprise platforms like SAP, Workday, Salesforce
- Experience working on Cloud hosted platform solutions and infrastructure (preferably Azure)
- Good understanding of networking connectivity including firewalls, DMZ and secure networks. Knowledge on CyberArk is preferred.
- ITIL V3 / V4 training and/or accreditation
- Accreditation and/or training in Automation tools or methods (not essential, but preferred)
- Experience working in Agile delivery model using tools like Jira or Aha
- Proven track record in successful technical development/configuration, solution design and product delivery, via Agile and waterfall delivery methods
- Anticipate, identify, track, and resolve technical issues and risks affecting delivery.
- Perform ROI analysis for Benefit realization and recommend the optimization approach.
- Experience of troubleshooting various system issues by being able to correctly identify the root cause and providing the technical fix, solution, or workaround.
- Experience of ensuring Tech solutions is compliant with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Experience working with third parties in the delivery of working products.
- Experience of working with teams across diverse countries and cultures effectively, within a large global FMCG or FMCH organisation.
- Good understanding of IT service management for a complex, global service
