ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a GST domain expert who operates as an individual contributor. You will own client relationships, navigate GSTN/ASP/IRP API integrations, drive IMS implementation end-to-end, and directly support the sales team as an in-house GST subject matter expert. Within 60 days, you will have shipped IMS for at least one client and created measurable improvements to our reconciliation accuracy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own product development for GST reconciliation (2A/2B vs books), ITC optimisation, and invoice matching
Design and implement 2/3/4/5-way reconciliation across Booking/PR, Invoice, GSTR-2B, Expense, and IMS data
Deep understanding of ASP GST APIs, IRP provider APIs (NIC, Cygnet, etc.), and GSTN API integration
Drive end-to-end implementation of IMS (Invoice Management System) including GSTN sync and client workflows
Talk to clients to understand GST credential sharing blockers and solve them operationally
Work with Airlines and Hotels to understand invoice generation flows and build automated invoice retrieval
Audit and improve custom reports and data pushed to ERP systems and Cimmra portal
Become the GST SME for the sales team — attend calls, answer compliance questions, and help close deals
Build automation workflows for vendor follow-ups, data ingestion from ERP/travel/email sources
Work closely with tax experts, clients, and engineering teams to translate compliance needs into product
Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
5–10 years in GST/indirect tax product management or consulting
Hands-on knowledge of GST filings, ITC rules, GSTR-2A/2B reconciliation processes
Deep understanding of GSTN APIs, ASP (Application Service Provider) APIs, and IRP provider APIs
Experience building or implementing GST automation, reconciliation, or compliance platforms
Familiarity with IMS (Invoice Management System) and e-invoicing (IRN/QR) workflows
Ability to engage directly with finance and tax stakeholders at client organisations
Strong analytical mindset — comfortable in reconciliation logic, exception identification, ITC optimisation
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
You will not be coordinating between teams — you will be the domain owner. You talk to clients, understand the ecosystem (airlines, hotels, OTAs, ERPs), design the product logic, and drive delivery.
