About the team

The Revenue and Financial Automation team at Stripe builds software tools that accelerate the economic and technological growth of global businesses by helping them operationalize their commercial relationships with customers. Our offerings include a billing platform, SaaS analytics, data services, and finance automation products that our customers creatively combine to support various revenue models.

Our SaaS-based accounting suite enables finance teams to automate and streamline tedious manual processes, such as revenue recognition, and close their books in real-time. This ensures compliance and provides timely financial insights essential for strategic growth.

What you’ll do

As a Product Manager on the Revenue and Financial Automation team, you’ll drive initiatives in the accounting products space, leveraging Stripe's data infrastructure and AI-powered tools to streamline complex back office operations and empower businesses with actionable, real-time financial insights.

You will interface closely with accounting and finance teams to understand user needs, develop a long-term product roadmap, and shape specific product features to solve user challenges. You will also be accountable for the growth and usage of our accounting products to ensure we’re helping businesses derive maximum value from our offerings.

At Stripe, product development is a collaborative effort involving engineering, design, product marketing, data science, and customer-facing teams. You’d be joining a team of experienced Product Managers who have a track record of successfully building large-scale business and consumer products that collectively impact millions of users around the world.

Responsibilities

• On a day-to-day basis, you will divide your time between external meetings with customers and internal discussions with your engineering, design, marketing, analytics, and sales counterparts.
• Identify the most important problems to solve, develop product solutions, and collaborate with engineering and design to scope the work.
• Articulate the product vision, develop annual and quarterly plans, and collaborate with other functions to deliver these solutions to our users and ensure their success.

Minimum requirements

• 5+ years of relevant product management or product-adjacent experience, with a proven track record of building highly impactful products in the financial automation or accounting space.
• Experience partnering closely with engineers, designers, and external partners to build products and complex systems at scale.
• Strong product sense: Ability to understand user needs in-depth, develop a compelling product strategy, and create delightful experiences that solve user problems and drive success.
• Strong communication skills: Ability to synthesize complex discussions, write succinctly, and present to senior stakeholders both within and outside Stripe.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with significant autonomy and responsibility.
• Strong business acumen and comfort with complex ecosystems and platform-level challenges.

Preferred qualifications

• Background in accounting and finance.
• Familiarity with ERPs like QuickBooks or NetSuite.
