About This Role

Responsible for the solution design and product management for the NextGen Crew Manager product. Ensures development meets market requirements; manages product release schedule and requirements. Acts as the subject matter expert on a consulting basis on multiple projects.  

 

 

General Description: 

· Under general direction, delineates requirements to solve complex business problems using differing technologies and systems views across multiple functional domains (within CAE and between CAE and its customer) on high profile and/or mission critical efforts and projects. 

· For assigned product initiatives, collaborates with Account Management, Customer Care, Delivery SMEs, Delivery Project Management, Development, and Development Program Management. 

· Facilitates product concept and requirements workshops with clients and internal development teams in pursuit of product requirements, objectives, and architecture decisions.  

· Collaborates with product delivery and technology team to validate detailed design, particularly to ensure that product objectives and key requirements are met and aligned with the market needs and business unit strategy. 

· Work with the cross-functional teams from product development to launch, ensuring execution is in line with the project plan for complex product initiatives 

· Create and manage product roadmap and its execution via quarterly releases 

· Make priority decisions having broad knowledge of the Crew business and thorough knowledge of what the product can do. 

· Develop Business Requirements, Change Requests, Acceptance Criteria, Business Test cases, and Release Notes in support of implementations. 

· Provides expert-level functional assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet user requirements. 

· Provide support to the Development team by assisting with functionality questions, addressing testing issues, training on new products, as assigned. 

 

Qualifications 

 

Education and Experience: 

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent. 

· Minimum 5 years related experience. 

“Must have” Skills: 

· Excellent computer software skills 

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. 

  

 “Nice to have” skills: 

· Experience working with software development and testing teams 

· Understanding technology and its implications on the product 

· Airline background in crew scheduling or flight operations
