Amagi is the fastest growing media technology B2B SaaS platform developed to let every content owner deliver their content to consumers anytime, anywhere, to any device. Amagi helps bring entertainment to hundreds of millions of consumers leading the transformation in media consumption. The Amagi Ads team is a separate department that works on Thunderstorm and Ads Plus products to deliver tools and functionality that enables better monetization for our customers: streaming platforms, content owners and demand partners. The Ads Plus team drives monetization initiatives for both our customers and Amagi’s in-house media business.

Role Definition:

As a Product Manager at Amagi Ads Plus, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of Amagi’s Ads Plus platform, focusing on: media planning tools, inventory merchandising with proprietary 1st party data, reporting/forecasting and integrations with partners. Amagi’s Ads Plus offering maximizes revenue for media companies through ad-supported content and this role will be extending those products/features/tools by leveraging Amagi assets to drive programmatic and direct sales revenue. You will ensure that Amagi’s ad solutions meet the needs of both supply and demand partners, keeping pace with the rapidly evolving digital advertising landscape.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as Product Owner for a dedicated, independent and cross-functional Agile Scrum team
  • Product strategy, vision and execution of the media planning, inventory merchandising and data integrations roadmap
  • Understand the market trends, user needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation in ad monetization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align product objectives with overall company goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with other Amagi product groups to bring differentiated ad solutions to market utilizing proprietary Amagi assets and data sets
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize ad revenue across various platforms including OTT, FAST (Free Ad-Supported TV), and streaming services.
  • Ensure seamless integration of ad technology with media delivery systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to develop and launch new ad solutions.
  • Work closely with sales and business development teams to understand customer requirements and tailor ad solutions to meet market demand.
  • Continuously track and optimize the Ads Plus platform to ensure maximum ad revenue and improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Develop go-to-market plans for new ad products, ensuring clear positioning, messaging, and training for the sales team.
  • Manage product launches and ensure alignment with overall business and revenue goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities in programmatic and direct-sold ad models.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including content partners, advertisers, and third-party technology providers.
  • Conduct regular product demos, webinars, and presentations to showcase product enhancements and ad performance improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of product management experience, with a focus on ad technology, media, or SaaS platforms.
  • 1-2+ years in programmatic advertising with a focus on media planning and inventory merchandising
  • In-depth understanding of digital advertising ecosystems, including data marketplaces, programmatic ad exchanges, ad networks, and SSP/DSP technologies.
  • Experience working in, and being the Product Owner for, Agile Scrum development team(s).
  • In-depth understanding of programmatic advertising targeting systems including the implications of decaying PII across the industry.
  • In-depth understanding of digital ad performance metrics, data analytics tools and log-level data.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with engineering and technical teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of dynamic ad insertion (DAI), server-side ad insertion (SSAI), and related ad technologies.
  • Experience working with global media and entertainment companies, particularly in ad-supported video platforms.
  • Understanding of privacy regulations and ad compliance standards.
