Description

Simbian is on a mission to make cybersecurity autonomous, with a new category of products. Our AI-powered Agents, backed by patent-pending innovations, perform common security operations autonomously. They interact with humans. They learn over time. They help businesses scale their security teams by 10x.

We are hiring a UX Designer with security experience to join us in our mission. In this role you will combine your creativity and your security knowledge, to pioneer new ways to solve hard problems in security operations. Your goal will be to create the most delightful and natural experiences ever to solve such problems. Primary responsibilities are UX/UI strategy for Agentic (AI) products, and product design. Shared responsibilities include user research, roadmap planning, usability studies and measurement, and occasionally graphics design.

Responsibilities

  • Research: Build deep understanding of current and prospective users. Study UX of competing and adjacent products.
  • UX/UI strategy and design: Define UX strategy for how AI and humans work together to solve security problems. Define the shared principles across all Simbian UX. Experiment and create industry-leading UX concepts for this new category of products. Define UX success metrics and measurement methodology.
  • Product development: Collaborate with engineering and product team to prioritize UX investments. Create detailed designs, workflows, and graphics.
  • Feedback: Conduct usability tests. Measure users’ lived experiences. Distill insights and feed back into product plans.
  • Graphics design: Sometimes you may help with graphics design or video editing.
Requirements
  • Experience designing or using cybersecurity products. Familiarity with SecOps products such as SIEMs, XDRs, and case management are preferred.
  • Experience designing multimodal user-driven interfaces such as Figma or Microsoft Excel, where the user creates their own journeys.
  • 7+ years of experience as product designer, across 2+ products, with great user feedback.
  • Experience in delivering the full product lifecycle, from planning to shipping to iterating based on user feedback.
  • Fast learner. Effective in fast-paced environment of early stage startups.
  • Team player.
  • Owner attitude, self-managing.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to work from home.
  • Willingness to participate in meetings during US mornings and evenings due to our distributed team.
