Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and applications to support enterprise digital solutions. Your expertise will drive the delivery of high-performance, secure, and maintainable systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and optimize technical solutions.

Software Requirements

• Required: Python (version 3.8+), Django, Flask, or FastAPI, REST API development, Git version control, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Linux operating systems

• Preferred: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)

• Experience level: 5+ years of hands-on Python application development, with experience in API and backend service architecture

Overall Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications and backend services

• Design and implement RESTful APIs for frontend and third-party system integrations

• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards

• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, QA teams, and DevOps to ensure seamless integration and deployment

• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security, and troubleshoot existing systems for issues and improvements

• Conduct code reviews, participate in technical discussions, and contribute to continuous process improvement

• Document technical specifications, API design, and system architecture for maintainability and knowledge sharing

• Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure system stability and high availability

• Programming Languages:

  • Essential: Python (3.8+), experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI

  • Preferred: Additional scripting (Bash, PowerShell) for automation

• Databases/Data Management:

  • PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, database schema design, query optimization, data validation

• Cloud Technologies:

  • Basic knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deployment and scaling support (preferred)

• Frameworks and Libraries:

  • Django, Flask, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, REST APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT)

• Development Tools & Methodologies:

  • Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile/Scrum, TDD/BDD (JUnit, pytest)

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend Python development

• Proven track record developing and deploying scalable backend systems and APIs in enterprise environments

• Hands-on experience with cloud deployment, container orchestration, and automation tools

• Knowledge of data management with relational and NoSQL databases

• Industry experience in finance, fintech, healthcare, or enterprise sectors is preferred; extensive relevant experience is acceptable

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot backend systems and APIs using Python frameworks

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during sprint planning, reviews, and deployment activities

• Write automated tests, review code, and ensure adherence to quality standards

• Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation to ensure continuous delivery

• Monitor system health, analyze logs, and troubleshoot issues proactively

• Optimize database interactions and system performance for scalability and efficiency

• Maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• 5+ years of enterprise backend development experience with Python and related frameworks

• Certification in cloud services or Python development is a plus

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing project requirements
