Job Title: QA Engineer – Manual & Automation

Experience Required: 4 to 6 Years
Location: Bangalore, Chennai

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer with a strong foundation in software testing methodologies and hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of QA best practices, coupled with practical knowledge of automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium and Playwright. A strong grasp of Java, JavaScript, OOPs, and API testing is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for web and API-based applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing using manual and automated approaches.
• Build, maintain, and optimize automation test scripts using
  Selenium and
  Playwright.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Identify, log, and track bugs through defect management tools.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in test processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Conduct API testing using
  Postman and
  REST Assured.

Write test reports and document test results effectively

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in
  manual and automation testing.
• Strong understanding of
  QA fundamentals,
  testing life cycle, and
  defect management.
• Experience in automation tools such as
  Selenium and
  Playwright.
• Proficient in programming/scripting languages:
  Java and
  JavaScript.
• Good understanding of
  Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs)
  principles.
• Hands-on experience with
  TestNG,
  Maven, or similar frameworks.
• Experience in
  API testing
  using
  Postman and
  REST Assured.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control systems, defect management software (e.g., Git, Azure Dev Ops).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms or containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
