Job role: QA Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.) Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

● Ability to create test architecture

● Develop test environments and test cases

● Writing test plans and creating test cases for the product

● Understanding of test frameworks and automation

● Mentors and provides training assistance to Associate QA Engineers

● Reviews and validates requirements and technical specifications

● Analyse test results, detect issues and track root causes

● Document technical issues and solutions

● Build automated testing systems for regular checks

● Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools

● Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements

● Develop, setup and execute tests on various products developed at Amagi

○ Embedded devices which do A/V processing

○ Cloud services which enable these embedded devices

○ Connected applications which enable the workflow for a broadcast station

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

● 2 to 4 years of experience with focus in areas such as systems, network, and/or application testing

● Basic knowledge of Linux environment

● Well versed in Unix commands

● Knowledge of AWS & GCP is an added advantage.

● Ability to understand scripts in at least one language such as Bash / Python / Ruby / Node.js

● Audio Video Encode/Decode knowledge is added advantage

● Experience/knowledge in Test Automation using Python/Selenium is added advantage

● A basic understanding of web applications, networking and databases

● Issue debugging skill is a must
