Position Summary
Job Summary
We are looking for a Core QA Engineer with 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in slot game testing, with strong functional testing expertise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and regulatory compliance of slot games across platforms by performing comprehensive functional, mathematical, and gameplay testing. This role demands deep domain knowledge of slot mechanics, a structured testing approach, and exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end functional testing of slot games, covering gameplay flows, features, bonus rounds, free spins, paylines, jackpots, and edge cases
- Validate core functionality including game launch, betting logic, balance updates, win calculations, UI behavior, error handling, and recovery scenarios
- Conduct math validation including RTP behavior, hit frequency, volatility, symbol distribution, and payout correctness
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing across multiple game builds
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects with clear reproduction steps using defect tracking tools
- Ensure games meet gaming standards, certification guidelines, and jurisdictional requirements
- Test games across multiple platforms and devices (desktop, mobile, tablet) and various resolutions
- Collaborate closely with Game Designers, Developers, Math, and Product teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues
- Review game specifications, functional requirements, and math documents to ensure complete test coverage
- Participate in test planning, test case design, execution, and review
- Provide clear, well-documented QA sign-off for game releases and production deployments
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience exclusively in slot game testing
- Strong expertise in functional testing of slot games, including gameplay logic, UI/UX flows, and feature validation
- In-depth understanding of slot game mechanics, reels, paylines, bonus features, free games, and jackpots
- Hands-on experience with math validation and RTP testing
- Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail with strong test documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple game releases simultaneously
- Good communication skills with a collaborative, quality-driven mindset
