Position Summary:
We are seeking a Junior-Mid Level Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team operating in an agile development environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software testing methodologies, experience with browser dev tools and Postman, and proficiency in working with RESTful APIs, Cypress frontend automation, Python, and C#.
You Will:
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and performance thoroughly
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing of web-based applications, APIs, and backend services
- Utilize browser development tools and Postman to inspect and troubleshoot web applications, APIs, and HTTP requests/responses
- Develop automated tests using Python and C# to streamline the testing process and enhance test coverage
- Identify, report, and track software defects using issue-tracking systems such as JIRA and work with the development team to resolve them promptly
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the software testing process and advocate for best practices in testing methodologies and tools
You'll Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience with proficiency in testing web applications and RESTful APIs
- Experience using browser development tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools) and API testing tools like Postman
- Programming experience in Python and C# for test automation and scripting
- Familiarity with test frameworks such as Cypress, PyTest, or NUnit
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with a passion for software quality and continuous improvement
