Job Summary

3M is seeking an experienced Sales / Business Development Manager to drive market penetration and revenue growth for the Electrical Cable Accessories portfolio in the Construction & Industrial (C&I) segment. The role involves strategic engagement with end users, engineering consultants, EPC contractors, and key industrial accounts to drive product approvals, technology adoption, and sales growth across India.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
  • Drive penetration and market share growth in the Construction & Industrial segment.

  • Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue quotas.

  • Develop and execute territory and account growth strategies.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across defined verticals.

Key Account Management
  • Build and manage relationships with:

    • End Users

    • Engineering Consultants

    • Electrical Contractors

    • EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) Companies

  • Develop strategic account plans for key accounts across India.

  • Increase wallet share within existing accounts.

Product Approval & Technical Engagement
  • Drive product approvals and specification inclusion with consultants and end users.

  • Support trials, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-concept initiatives.

  • Work closely with Application Engineering and Technical Teams for solution selling.

Pipeline & CRM Management
  • Manage sales funnel using CRM tools.

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity tracking.

  • Ensure timely reporting and pipeline hygiene.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Application Engineering teams.

  • Support new product launches and technology adoption initiatives.

  • Operate effectively in a matrix organization.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).

  • Minimum 10 years of Sales / Business Development experience.

  • Proven experience in Construction and Industrial market segments.

  • Experience in CRM systems and pipeline management.

  • Strong techno-commercial acumen.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

    • Power Generation

    • Metals & Mining

    • Oil & Gas / Petrochemicals

    • Rail & Metro

    • Airports

    • Data Centers

    • Renewable Energy (Solar & Wind)

  • Knowledge of:

    • Electrical Cable Accessories

    • Product approval processes with consultants and end users

    • Large key account management

    • Channel partner management

    • Matrix organization structures
