Job Description:

The Salesforce DevOps and QA Automation Lead will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end quality, deployment, and operational stability of Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud , and Experience Cloud. This role combines deep technical expertise in DevOps and QA automation to ensure scalable, secure, and high-quality Salesforce delivery. The ideal candidate will lead with an AI-first mindset—applying intelligent automation, predictive quality insights, and Agentic AI tools to accelerate delivery velocity, reduce defects, and optimize release governance . The role includes implementation of CI/CD pipelines, automated and manual testing efforts, and enforcing governance across release cycles while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Copado, Gearset, Opsera, Jenkins, or AutoRABIT.

  • Manage version control (Git), enforce branching strategies, perform code reviews, and maintain deployment logs and rollback procedures.

  • Coordinate sandbox refreshes, metadata deployments, and environment consistency across multiple Salesforce orgs.

  • Automate deployments of Apex classes, LWCs, Flows, and configuration artifacts (profiles, permission sets, etc.).

  • Utilize AI-enabled QA platforms to auto-generate test scripts, predict high-risk areas in code, and detect anomalies in user flows using behavioral insights.

  • Integrate Agentic AI tools to proactively recommend deployment optimizations, detect change impact across environments, and guide release readiness decisions

  • Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure SOX, GDPR, and audit-readiness throughout the release cycle.

  • Define and execute test strategies for functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing across Salesforce applications.

  • Develop and maintain automated test cases using tools like Provar, Selenium, Tosca, or TestNG.

  • Perform manual testing for edge cases and complex workflows where automation is insufficient.

  • Manage test data, validate configurations/customizations, and ensure accurate business process testing.

  • Track defects, perform root cause analysis, and monitor quality metrics (escaped defects, test coverage, stability).

  • Collaborate closely with Developers, BAs, Product Owners, and Release Managers to align testing and deployment timelines.

  • Enforce DevOps and QA best practices across teams and support continuous improvement.

  • Lead defect triage, release sign-off, and deployment activities across agile delivery cycles.

  • Stay current with industry trends and drive the adoption of innovative tools and practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in Salesforce roles, with at least 3 years each in DevOps and QA Automation capacities.

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, Jenkins, Opsera).

  • Expertise in Salesforce testing tools (Provar, Selenium, Tosca) and test management platforms (TestRail, Zephyr, Jira).

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce metadata architecture, SFDX, deployment strategies, and environment management.

  • Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and declarative Salesforce tools.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Salesforce certifications such as DevOps Specialist, Platform Developer I, or QA Automation Engineer are a plus.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
