The Business Technology Team

We are looking for a Salesforce Product Analyst with a product management mindset to join our growing Business Technology team as a part of the Enterprise Product organization. Business Technology supports all of Okta’s internal technologies, with the Enterprise Product focused on our go-to-market applications.  

The Salesforce Product Analyst Opportunity

In this role, you will primarily support our Sales and Partner organizations.  You will be responsible for the stability, reliability, and availability of Business Technology, and provide timely and effective support to end-users. You will collaborate with other BT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to optimize application performance, implement enhancements, and resolve incidents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

    • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and challenges, translating them into detailed and actionable user stories
    • Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement

Salesforce Configuration and Customization:

    • Leverage your expertise in Salesforce configuration and customization to implement solutions that align with business needs
    • Collaborate with developers and administrators to design and implement enhancements and customizations

User Support and Training:

    • Provide ongoing support to end-users, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a positive user experience
    • Develop and deliver user training sessions to promote effective and efficient use of Salesforce features

Data Management and Reporting:

    • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of Salesforce data through effective data management practices
    • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to provide insights into key performance metrics and support decision-making

System Integrations:

    • Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement integrations between Salesforce and other systems within the organization
    • Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between Salesforce and external applications

Quality Assurance and Testing:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate the functionality and performance of Salesforce solutions
    • Collaborate with QA teams to address and resolve any issues identified during testing

Security and Compliance:

    • Ensure that Salesforce solutions adhere to organizational security policies and industry regulations

Documentation:

    • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive documentation of Salesforce configurations, customizations, and processes
    • Ensure that technical and user documentation is accessible and easily understandable


Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years experience as a technical business analyst/implementation consultant/solutions architect supporting Salesforce and associated applications 
  • 2+ years experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with enterprise-level software applications and technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple work items simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and project management principles.
  • Salesforce Certification Certifications preferred
