The SAP HANA Cloud Developer will design and optimize SQLScript procedures, manage multi-container architecture, and support analytics and reporting integration.
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP HANA Cloud Developer to work on a database-centric SAP BTP architecture. The role focuses on SQLScript-based procedural development using a multi-container HANA Cloud setup to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize SQLScript procedures in SAP HANA Cloud.
- Implement and maintain multi-container architecture (staging, target, procedures).
- Develop complex dynamic SQL and parameterized procedures.
- Enable parallel execution of procedures for performance optimization.
- Manage cross-container access using grants, synonyms, and roles.
- Perform table partitioning and SQL performance tuning.
- Support manual MTAR-based transport and environment synchronization.
- Collaborate with Datasphere and SAC teams to support reporting needs.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP HANA Cloud SQLScript.
- Deep expertise in:
- Dynamic SQL
- Window functions
- Procedural programming
- Experience with multi-container HANA Cloud architecture.
- Familiarity with:
- JDBC-based data ingestion (e.g., Hadoop / non-SAP sources)
- SDA concepts (DP Agent, virtual tables – conceptual)
- Experience working in Business Application Studio (BAS).
Nice to Have
- Awareness of Cloud Foundry spaces and basic administration.
- Exposure to non-S/4HANA data landscapes.
