Essential Responsibilities

Ability to lead virtual teams in multiple time zones and countries (i.e. U.S., India, China, etc.).

Drive software teams to complete design, planning, development, testing activities including working with Product Management, development, testing and other stakeholder teams , etc. as needed.

Should have experience in project management experience in embedded software development.

Drive Sprint Planning, Release Planning, Daily Scrums, and all other Agile rituals as required for the Agile software development teams assigned to relevant project.

Conduct regular team meetings, establishing action items and due dates for activities of all Project Team members.

Develop and maintain project timeline schedules.

Provide periodic project status and budget reporting to all management levels.

Team Leader and spokesperson (in conjunction with Management) as final arbitrator in Team decisions and direction.

  • Evaluate project management processes and metrics to track and measure project success.
  • Manage project risk proactively, identify project risks and coordinate meetings with multi discipline functions to address risks before they become issues.

Track progress of cost, budget and timing for each program, reporting any variances and suggesting ways to bring program back to plan.

Coordinate “concept through final approval process” of the creation of photo samples, artwork, user manuals and other product literature.

Coordinate transition of product development and engineering information to operation team, customer support, third party contractors, and quality departments as applicable.

Coordinate timely submission of product and/or software samples for certification and testing as required.

Support outsourced contractor’s personnel in planning and completing their design and verification processes when required.

Approve or arrange for approval by Engineering and Product Management on project deliverables when required.

Ensure product concept is preserved, requested performance and application requirements of the product are met, and appearance and packaging standards are adhered to.

Negotiate outsource contracts and licenses in coordination with legal team as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • An experienced leader with appropriate industry experience. An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus. 
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who is “politically savvy” and a team player. An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor. 
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of related progressive leadership experience and accountability in a technical environment
  • Certifications: PMI-ACP or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and PMP, Project Management Professional (Preferred)
  • Experience: Requires at least 3 years of project management experience in software development preferably in a mixed hardware and software environment using Agile project management methodologies. Experienced with Tools like Jira, Confluence, MS- Project.
  • Excellent hands on knowledge of Jira & Confluence
