Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Research Analyst. The role involves working closely with the US M&A team on M&A market intelligence, pitchbooks, various financial analyses and industry-related materials, with significant opportunities to learn, develop and work as an integral member of the business.
In this role, you will:
- Monitor M&A market intelligence and prepare related deliverables such as M&A deal alerts by leveraging various information sources (FactSet, Merger market, Dealogic and Refinitiv) as well as news outlets (Reuters, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and others)
- Maintain M&A databases and prepare various kinds of analyses based on the recorded data
- Develop an understanding of key M&A drivers, trends and market activity. Deliver M&A newsletters related to market update
- Assist in preparing M&A pitchbook components including industry overviews, screening, benchmarking and competitive landscape, company profiles (strip, deep dive), management biographies, case studies and credentials
- Work on various work streams that form key components of M&A Buy or Sell side deals (pitching and execution)
- Work independently and deliver high-quality deliverables
- Effectively communicate with very senior stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
6+ months of Securities Investment research, financial services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- MBA Finance, CA or MS Finance from a premier institute, with 6+ months of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial analysis concepts. Knowledge of investment banking concepts including M&A as a product will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of databases and platforms such as FactSet, Merger market, Dealogic, LSEG (with SDC), Pitchbook, S&P Capital IQ and Factiva
- Strong inclination towards building a career in Investment Banking, especially M&A
- Impeccable communication and interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to interact with senior professionals and key stakeholders
- Strong logical, analytical skills and a systematic problem-solving approach
- Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure high quality of deliverables
- Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
- Results driven, accountable and ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and technologies, with an understanding of their applications in business processes
- Open to Bangalore or Hyderabad work locations
- Candidate is expected to operate during the US time zone to provide real time support (9 am EST - 5 pm EST)
