The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the accounting team and will report directly to the Senior Manager, Accounting. The Accounting team oversees ensuring the timely and accurate financial reporting along with maintaining clean financial and day-to-day operations.
What You'll Do:
- Perform a variety of general accounting tasks including cash reconciliations, prepaid expenses, payroll-related accounts, and month-end accruals.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, ensuring proper classification of all transactions.
- Participate in the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of flux/variance analysis.
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Support account coding corrections and reclasses while identifying and addressing underlying issues such as department or account mapping discrepancies.
- Partner with AP, FP&A, HR, and cross-functional teams to gather supporting documentation, resolve accounting issues, and improve workflow consistency.
- Respond to internal and external auditor requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with various departments to provide actionable financial insights and support informed business decisions.
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
What We Hope You Bring:
- 7+ years of total experience in a corporate environment, public accounting a plus
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Previous experience working with external auditors
- Netsuite, Coupa, Navan experience a plus and intermediate level excel skills
- Must be proactive, organized, and work in a fast-paced environment
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent field
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
