Job Title: Accountant (CA)
Location: East Andheri, Mumbai, India (Hybrid)
Working Hours: 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM IST. (Can be flexible when required)
Position Overview
The organization is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1.5 to 3 years of relevant professional experience to support core accounting operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing month-end close activities, preparing general ledger entries, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within deadlines, particularly during financial close periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion in accordance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare, review, and post general ledger (GL) entries and adjustments.
- Perform account reconciliations, variance analyses, and support the preparation of periodic financial reports.
- Maintain and update accounting information within Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and assist with financial or operational tasks requiring Salesforce interaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper documentation, data accuracy, and compliance.
- Support internal and external audit requirements by providing relevant schedules, documentation, and analyses.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.
- 1.5 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Demonstrated experience in month-end close processes and general ledger accounting.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data organization.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft GP (Great Plains) and Salesforce.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
- Professional experience with a Big 4 firm.
