Role Profile
The Senior Analyst reports to the Controls Manager and is responsible for the enrichment and migration of data to the trading platform in order to facilitate trading on both LSE and Turquoise equities venues. The Analyst will also assist in developing system enhancements in both departmental and business wide projects reporting to the Senior Analyst and Market Operations Manager.
Team Description
The Senior Analyst, Control is responsible for the enrichment and migration of data to the trading platform in order to facilitate trading across the LSE and Turquoise equities venues and the TRADEcho trade reporting venue. This includes the management of daily updates to internal and customer facing systems as well as ad-hoc requested and planned changes.
The team works on a shift basis with the current service hours between 06:30 and 19.00.
Department Description
DSM Operations covers Market Operations Services and Client Technology Services. The Market Operations Services team provides the centralised function for the maintenance of key trading services’ and reference data databases spanning the LSE and Turquoise venues (both part of the London Stock Exchange Group). The department acts as a first point of contact for customers – both issuers and member firms requiring immediate or planned actions, assessing suitability for admission of issuers and impacts of corporate actions on reference data. It co-ordinates the production and dissemination of communications to customers and key organisations including EUI, CCPs, UKLA and FTSE. The area manages close, operational relationships internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining instrument data across LSE and Turquoise production platforms including end of day reference data uploads
Review for corporate actions daily using Bloomberg and primary Exchange sources and update instruments as an when needed.
Performing large scheduled changes e.g. quarterly review, ADT updates
Review Daily and Annual regulatory transparency updates so that they can be changed on the trading and reference data systems
Review the primary exchange tick sizes on a daily basis to keep in line with them
Be proactive on investigating any regulatory updates sent by ESMA and the FCA and raise with the compliance teams
Responsible for managing and maintaining over 70 fields of reference data per instrument.
Update the yearly Holiday calendar for all the European Markets and the US Markets
Manage the Double Volume cap updates on a monthly Basis (changing in October 2025)
Work with the regulatory reporting team to send out the correct data to regulators and answer any reference data questions (MAS report (Monetary Authority of Singapore) and ESMA and FCA RTS23 reports
Collaborate effectively across products, teams and business areas to deliver robust and effective services and development
Desk coverage is from 6.30am to 6.00pm (UK Time) covered by two separate shifts (early and late)
Some weekend and bank holiday coverage required
Partner with Project Managers, IT and Sales/Trading on systems enhancements and development
Assist with the resolution of exceptional technical & production issues/incidents.
Investigate process failures and implement corrective actions.
Participation in internal projects focused on process improvement and/or Industry/Regulatory change.
Identify process improvement opportunities
Train other members of staff and act as a role model

Candidate Profile / Key Skills
Minimum experience of 4 years
Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines whilst under pressure
Worked in professional and client-focused environments where detailed processes must be followed
Must be a confident team player with good interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
Recent experience in a similar technical customer service role supporting financial clients with proven customer service skills
Additional Technical skills with the ability to learn quickly would be an advantage in the following areas - FIX Protocol knowledge, SQL, Networking, Wireshark, SFTP, Electronic Trading systems and Market Data familiarity, ITSM Tools, Excel
