We are seeking an exceptional Sr. Antenna Design Engineer to drive the development of advanced hardware solutions for space exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-frequency antennas for satellite communication and Earth observation.
- Perform full-wave electromagnetic simulations and optimization for antenna performance.
- Lead antenna prototyping, testing, and validation to meet space-grade specifications.
- Work closely with RF, mechanical, and system engineering teams to integrate antennas into satellite platforms.
- Analyze radiation patterns, impedance matching, gain, and polarization characteristics.
- Optimize antenna designs for compact, lightweight, and high-efficiency performance in extreme space environments.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in antenna technology and apply innovative approaches.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace and regulatory standards for satellite communication systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in antenna design, simulation, and testing.
- Strong expertise in designing patch, phased array, reflector, and helical antennas for space applications.
- Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, or FEKO.
- Hands-on experience with RF measurement techniques, anechoic chambers, and network analyzers.
- Deep understanding of antenna miniaturization techniques and beamforming principles.
- Experience in designing antennas for high-frequency bands (X, Ku, Ka) and multi-band applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with satellite communications (LEO, MEO, GEO) and link budget analysis.
- Familiarity with space qualification processes and radiation-hardened materials.
- Knowledge of 3D printing and advanced manufacturing techniques for antennas.
- Experience in working with regulatory bodies for spectrum allocation and compliance.
