Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test cases using Playwright and JavaScript.
- Implement and maintain component-based automation frameworks.
- Debug and fix issues in automated test scripts.
- Use Git for version control (pull, push, merge, conflict resolution).
- Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, BSAs, and project managers.
- Participate in peer code reviews to improve test scripts and frameworks.
- Continuously improve testing processes based on feedback.
- Focus on end-user usability and functionality in test design.
- Use Azure Repos and Pipelines for version control and CI/CD (nice to have).
- Leverage AI tools like CoPilot or ChatGPT for code refactoring (nice to have).
- Maintain clear documentation of test scripts and results.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in test automation.
- Contribute to the integration of new technologies into existing processes.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills:
- Playwright Test Automation Tool: Expertise in creating and executing automated tests.
- Test Design Using JavaScript: Proficiency in designing robust, automated test cases using JavaScript.
- Debugging and Code Fixing: Ability to debug and resolve issues effectively.
- Component-Based Automation Framework: Experience implementing component-based frameworks for new applications.
- Git Proficiency: Skilled in commands such as pull, push, merge, and resolving conflicts.
- Code Editor Familiarity: Experience with VS Code Editor or similar tools.
- Automated Test Execution: Capability to execute tests, analyze results, and report bugs effectively.
- Peer Code Reviews: Ability to participate in code reviews for test scripts and frameworks.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with project team members, including developers, functional testers, BSAs, and project managers.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seek feedback to refine processes and improve efficiency.
- End-User Perspective: Design and test with usability and functionality in mind.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Azure Repos: Understanding code branches, creating pull requests, and related concepts.
- Azure Pipelines: Familiarity with setting up and amending pipelines created using YAML.
- Salesforce Application: Exposure to Salesforce; ERP experience is a plus but not required.
