Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backend services, REST APIs, microservices, and real-time WebSocket integrations. Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching systems, and distributed architectures while ensuring performance, reliability, security, and high availability. Collaborate cross-functionally, support production systems, troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and deliver clean, tested, maintainable code.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
- Build, optimize, and support RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Develop real-time backend integrations using WebSockets where required.
- Ensure system performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases, caching technologies, and distributed architectures.
- Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Drive performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and backend application development.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Solid understanding of WebSockets and real-time systems.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and high-availability principles.
- Experience building, deploying, and supporting production-grade applications.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Experience in large-scale product, consumer-tech, or platform engineering environments.
- Familiarity with complex distributed systems and high-traffic applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability tools.
- Prior experience building and supporting real-time, highly available backend services.
