Job Summary

Looking for an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps engineer to work with our engineering team to develop, implement, test, optimize, and maintain Kubernetes based deployments on-premises and in the cloud. A successful candidate will be working on deployment and debugging Avid cloud products. As a DevOps engineer, you setup and maintain on premises and cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policy. You have good troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and are a team player.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate in the definition of architecture and its implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and objectives
• Design and develop high-quality software solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Conduct code reviews, ensure code quality, and enforce best practices in software development
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and provide innovative solutions
• Participate in agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, and leverage them to drive innovation and efficiency

Qualifications and Skills

• 8+ years of relevant experience with Dev-Ops and Deployment in Kubernetes
• Good analytical and communication skills - Build and maintain systems on Kubernetes and with Helm charts 
• Experience using DevOps tools on premises and in cloud environments (e.g.: Docker, Helm Charts, Terraform, Kubernetes) 
• Familiar with QA concepts and automation of DevOps/QA tasks - Knowledge about Microservice architectures and concepts (e.g. Services mesh, Chaos testing) - Identify, analyze and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
•  Experience with Continuous integration and deployment, Gitlab and Jenkins pipelines - Knowledge and experience in at least one programming and scripting language: Bash, GoLang, Python
•  Fluency in English (both spoken and written), ability to communicate efficiently in English in spoken and written form.

Role-specific Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience with De-Ops and Deployment in Kubernetes
• Build and maintain systems on Kubernetes and with Helm charts - Experience using DevOps tools on premises and in cloud environments (e.g.: Docker, Helm Charts, Terraform, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge about Microservice architectures and concepts (e.g. Services mesh, Chaos testing)
• Identify, analyze and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
• Experience with Continuous integration and deployment, Gitlab and Jenkins pipelines
• Knowledge and experience in at least one programming and scripting language: Bash, GoLang, Python
• Certification in Azure, AWS or GCP - Experience with SaaS in Azure, AWS or GCP
• Experience with MongoDB, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ and/or Postgres
• Experience with Security and Secrets Management (e.g.: Hashicorp Vault)
• Experience with Cloud AI services - Experience with Cloud SQL databases
• Experience with monitoring solutions (e.g.: Grafana, Prometheus)
