As a Senior Data Analyst, you will help turn complex business questions into clear, actionable insights that improve decision-making across Crunchyroll. Reporting to the Director, Analytics, you will partner with stakeholders across the organization to define metrics, develop trusted reporting, and deliver analysis that supports business and functional priorities.
You will work across a range of analytical problems, from performance measurement and trend analysis to experimentation, forecasting, segmentation, and data quality. This role is well suited to an analytically rigorous, business-minded professional who enjoys working across functions and bringing structure to ambiguous questions.
Core Areas of Responsibility- Business partnership and problem solving: Partner with leaders and functional teams to understand goals, frame analytical questions, and recommend practical, data-informed solutions.
- Analysis and insight generation: Analyze user, product, content, marketing, operational, and financial data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and performance drivers.
- Reporting and self-service analytics: Build and maintain dashboards, recurring reports, and reusable datasets that make important metrics easy to understand and act on.
- Measurement and experimentation: Define metrics and measurement frameworks; support experiments, forecasts, cohort analyses, segmentation, and other quantitative approaches as appropriate.
- Data quality and analytical rigor: Investigate data quality issues, reconcile conflicting results, document assumptions and methods, and improve confidence in reporting.
- Cross-functional delivery: Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Product, Marketing, Content, Finance, and other partners to improve data models, documentation, and source availability.
- Communication and influence: Translate analytical findings into concise narratives, recommendations, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Team contribution: Mentor analysts, share best practices, and contribute to a culture of curiosity, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement.

- You have 8+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, product analytics, marketing analytics, or a related field.
- You have strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
- You have proficiency in Python or R, with the ability to use programming for analysis, automation, and reproducible workflows.
- You have experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- You have strong statistical and analytical reasoning, including the ability to select appropriate methods and communicate assumptions and limitations.
- You have a track record of translating ambiguous business problems into structured analyses and clear recommendations.
- You have experience defining metrics, building dashboards, and creating reporting that supports self-service decision-making.
- You possess strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, documentation, and reproducibility.
- You have experience managing multiple priorities and delivering work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Experience in media, streaming, entertainment, subscription, ecommerce, or consumer technology.
- Experience with experimentation, causal inference, forecasting, cohort analysis, or customer lifecycle analytics.
- Experience working with modern cloud data warehouses, Databricks, dbt, or similar analytics engineering practices.
- Familiarity with data governance, metric layers, or semantic models.
- Experience mentoring analysts or leading analytical projects from definition through delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, providing a strong foundational knowledge and expertise
You will join the Analytics team in Hyderabad and work closely with the Director, Analytics and partners across the organization. The team’s purpose is to make data more accessible, trustworthy, and useful for decision-making. You will help establish repeatable analytical practices, strengthen reporting and measurement, and create insights that enable teams to move with greater clarity and confidence.
