The Position
As a Senior Data Architect at Novo Nordisk, you will:
- Design Data Architecture: Establish the blueprint for managing data and ensure it is stored, consumed, integrated, and managed effectively by different data entities and IT systems.
- Develop AI Solutions: Create and implement artificial intelligence models and algorithms to solve complex business problems and drive innovation.
- Ensure Data Governance: Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations, and implement policies for data security, quality, and integrity.
- Collaborate: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Evaluate Technology: Assess and recommend data and AI technologies that align with the organization's strategic goals. Stay abreast of industry trends in data and AI to identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
- Mentor: Provide guidance and mentorship to technical teams in best practices for data management and AI implementation. Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code.
- Document data pipeline and infrastructure design, code, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members.
Qualifications

Need to have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT architecture with a focus on data management and AI, including experience with data modelling, database design, and familiarity with machine learning algorithms.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure Platform.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
- Proficiency in data-related technologies and languages (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark), as well as AI tools and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Knowledge and experience in data modelling, data architecture, and data integration concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, scientists, analysts, and stakeholders.
- The ability to communicate complex data and AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and driving projects to completion.
About the department
You will join our team of cloud developers, DevOps engineers, data engineers, and architects in the Data Management & Analytics team at Novo Nordisk GBS. It's a global, high-performing department with a variety of technical, analytical, and multinational backgrounds. We are expanding our offerings to the global organization, so we need extra resources to succeed with our journey and ambitious vision. We do data acquisition and ingestion; data analysis and data engineering; evangelizing the use of data and advanced analytics; and supporting data science users of our platform. We are cloud-native and we work primarily on AWS. We deliver solutions using Scrum methodology. We have built and are operating the enterprise data lake, data mesh, and data science platform on AWS to support our vision, which is to be able to deliver world-class management of data. The overarching goal is to use data to gain new understandings and insights, drive optimization, and create true value for Novo Nordisk and the patients we serve. We #BringDataToLife.
