We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with proven experience to join our Revenue Engineering team! This role requires building systems to process data efficiently and modeling the data to power analytics. These solutions can range from batch data pipelines that bring to life business metrics to processing services that integrate with our core product features. In addition, this position will require a rich understanding of large distributed systems on which our data solutions rely. You’ll be joining an efficient and fast-paced working team, building and supporting data infrastructure for revenue-generating teams across BlueVine. 

You will collaborate with business functions such as BizOps, BI, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Customer Support, Business Development, and Data Science to leverage data and automation to improve efficiency and productivity. You will work with business leaders, fellow engineers, and business analysts to help identify answers for the most important questions impacting our business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Help build robust and scalable data pipelines and ETL services for processing data from internal and external data sources.
  • Help automate business processes requiring data manipulation, aggregation, and sharing
  • Work in collaboration with other members of the group located in California.  
  • Optimize and monitor existing data pipelines and ETL processes proactively to ensure timely, accurate, and secure data delivery.
  • Manage data integration with external vendors, products, and services that Bluevine is partnering with. 
  • Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment with ambiguous requirements while being nimble and taking intelligent risks.
  • Managing and owning a portfolio of data products that deliver high-quality data.
  • Partner with analytics engineers, data scientists, and software engineers to create data products that will serve analysis, ML, and reporting needs intuitively.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python & SQL.
  • Strong background in at least one of the following: distributed data processing or software engineering of data services, or distributed systems with a focus on data-oriented services at a large scale.
  • Experience with data warehousing, data lake, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Extensive experience implementing data modeling principles.
  • Experience in the complete life cycle of data warehouse projects, including functional/technical design, coding, testing deploying to production, and monitoring.
