Job Overview:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in maximizing the value of data within our platform, which processes billions of rows every month for millions of users. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge data infrastructure and drive innovation at scale. This opportunity comes with onsite visit options.
Key Responsibilities
50% – Building and scaling the Skypoint Lakehouse and data pipelines.
20% – Defining and implementing DataOps methodologies.
20% – Writing and optimizing queries and algorithms for performance.
10% – Supporting and monitoring data pipelines.

What We Look for in a Senior Data Engineer
- Self-driven professionals who take initiative, stay updated on industry trends, and seek continuous improvement.
- Strong expertise in Databricks-related technologies across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Proficiency in Python or Scala with a solid software engineering background.
- Experience working with Spark (Databricks), Delta Lakehouse, Delta Live Tables, and Unity Catalog.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of industry experience in data engineering.
- Proficiency in Spark (Scala or Python) and Databricks.
- Strong backend programming skills with knowledge of scalability, clustering, microservices, and multi-threaded development.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Databricks DLT, ADF, Azure Synapse, Airflow, etc.).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases.
- Recent experience working with Scala or Python and Spark (Databricks).
Educational Qualifications
BS / BE / MS in Computer Science from a top-tier institution (IITs, RECs, etc.).
