We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Clarivate. This role requires strong Python expertise in building and managing data pipelines and optimizing data workflows.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in software development.

Strong programming skills in Python with a focus on data development and manipulation.

Experience working with Elastic Search, including writing complex queries and optimizing search performance.

Experience managing and optimizing data storage and retrieval with a strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases like Postgres and MongoDB.
It would be great if you also had:

Experience with development on the cloud (AWS or similar)

Understanding of Unix or Linux operating system, shell scripting and its basic commands

Experience working with Agile development environments

Proven experience leading projects and driving them to completion.
What will you be doing in this role?

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.

Develop and manage data models and data storage solutions.

Optimize data workflows and processes for performance, reliability, and scalability.

Implement and maintain infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes.

Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable code using Python and Django.

Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all projects.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and workflows.
About the team
You will be working on a close-knit team focused on delivering cutting edge AI and image-search technologies to global intellectual property offices and large corporations to facilitate the protection of intellectual property.
Hours of work
This is permanent position with Clarivate. You will be working in IST time zone. 9 hours of work per day including 1 hour lunch break
