Role : Senior Director Finance
Job Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy
and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Manage the company's financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable,
and general ledger
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for financial reporting and internal controls
- Communicate financial results to key stakeholders, such as the board of directors, investors, and
lenders
2. Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial plans and budgets, including long-term financial forecasts and
strategic plans
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Monitor performance against budget and forecasts, and take corrective action as needed
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support decision-making
- Provide strategic financial advice to the members of the core team
3. Risk Management:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage financial risks, including credit risk,
market risk, and operational risk
- Monitor and assess the company's overall risk profile
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Manage financial risks and ensure the organization's financial stability by monitoring cash flows,
analyzing financial statements, and identifying potential areas of concern
4. Treasury:
- Manage the company's cash and liquidity, including cash flow forecasting and management of
bank accounts
- Develop and implement cash management policies and procedures
- Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions
- Identify and execute financing opportunities, such as debt or equity offerings
- Lead fundraising initiatives and work closely with investors and banks to secure funding
5. Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations
- Develop tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities
- Manage relationships with tax authorities and advisors
- Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting
6. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance
- Manage relationships with regulators and auditors
- Ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting
7. Leadership and Management:
- Provide leadership to the finance team and develop a high-performance culture
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in the finance function
- Manage the performance of the finance team and provide feedback and coaching
- Collaborate with other departments and senior management to achieve the company's overall
goals
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure financial plans are aligned with business objectives and
provide strategic guidance on financial matters
- Continuously evaluate and improve finance processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or related field. MBA, CA or CPA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior
leadership role. Experience preferred in IT service company
- Demonstrated experience in managing financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and
fundraising initiatives
- Demonstrated experience in managing entities located in India and US
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic guidance on
financial matters
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to a
variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external
stakeholders
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
