Do you love building tools for software engineering teams? Come work with us as an Engineering Manager for the Bitbucket Pipelines - Atlassian CI platform team in Bitbucket Cloud. You'll be part of our growing Bitbucket Pipelines, one of the most loved areas of Bitbucket Cloud for its ease of use, power and flexibility. Our mission is to empower Atlassian teams to deliver software with more agility and confidence. In the coming year, we're looking to take Pipelines to the next level in terms of scalability and performance, building the features required to help Atlassian run CI/CD at scale.
You'll be responsible for building an effective team, empowering them to achieve their goals, and putting those goals into a broader context. Your greatest responsibility will be looking after the individuals reporting to you - mentoring and supporting them in their professional development, unlocking their potential, and challenging them to step outside their comfort zone to grow and excel.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Experience and passion with shipping customer-facing features.
  • Strong experience leading features and engineering initiatives, working in concert with PM and Design to make sure we're delivering the best software.
  • Experience with coaching and mentoring.
  • Demonstrated experience building large-scale distributed systems.
  • Ability to drive technical excellence, pushing innovation and quality.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate strategy, plans, and status at all levels of the Bitbucket Cloud organization.


Experience in the following is preferred:

  • Employee performance & growth management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS industry with hands-on experience of public cloud offerings (AWS, GAE, Azure)
  • Experience with microservices and cloud-native architectures.
