Role Description:
This is a full-time hybrid role as a Senior Engineer with NucleusTeq, The role involves daily tasks related to data engineering and DBT (Data Build Tool).
Scope of DBT project for your reference
Data and Analytics - Mulesoft product analytics team is currently using Matillion as tool of choice of extraction, load and transformation. The guidance for tool of choice based on architecture strategy and tool strategy is to migrate to Dbt cloud. As part of this migration effort we need to migrate code written in Matillion and python into Dbt cloud and write some required connectors using a framework based on python and spark. The major work items are:
1: Enhance existing framework to extract data from new sources.
2: Migrate the extraction process to extract about 100 objects from different sources
3: Migrate the business transformation logic to dbt for about 100 different flows
4: Perform unit and integration testing to make sure the results accurate and help completely sunset Matillion by end FY25. In this process, we also plan to review the data processing, rewrite SQLs code to meet the business needs, reduce the tech debt created over the years, tune the queries for faster query execution and retire processes that are unused.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in data engineering and DBT (Data Build Tool)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and/or
- Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Any of cloud- AWS, Azure, GCP
