Role and Responsibilities
Accounting, Close, Audit, & Reporting
- Lead end-to-end accounting under Indian GAAP in a cloud-based ERP environment.
- Manage payroll accounting and its related tax.
- Handle cost-plus accounting in accordance with Transfer Pricing rules and MSAs.
- Lead the statutory audit for the India legal entity, from PBC preparation through final sign-off, ensuring timely and smooth audit closure.
- Support parent entity with PBC requirements for corporate audits as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation across accounting, close, and audit processes.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements.
- Responsible for forecasting and management of cash. Ensuring accuracy and alignment with business plans.
Tax, Compliance & Statutory Matters
- Own direct and indirect tax compliance, coordinating with external tax advisors.
- Manage transfer pricing compliance, including cost-plus arrangements.
- Lead responses to tax notices, enquiries, and litigation in coordination with tax consultants.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and secretarial requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with external consultants, auditors, and advisors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Hands-on experience with Indian GAAP and direct/indirect tax regulations, with a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial trends, variances, and business drivers.
- Proficient with modern finance systems and cloud-based accounting tools.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to partner across teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent is a plus.
