Roles & Responsibilities:
- Build, construct, and maintain loan level servicing events that would constitute a potential loss and apply historical analytics in order to determine the appropriate reserve amount
- Write, modify and execute SQL database tables to capture key datapoints for monthly reserve modelling.
- Analyze loss data points from actual reserve and provide overall trending by loss area, loss type and root-cause.
- Make recommendations on new servicing approaches in order to minimize loss exposure.
- Analyze loss data points from claims and other business units that will be utilized in loss reserve models.
- Collaborate with key partners in Treasury, Acquisitions, Accounting and Operations to carry out operational enhancement initiatives.
- Build reporting to identify On-Balance sheet loans along with aging and categorize the proper work streams for resolution.
- Track actual performance against assigned goals and budget
- This is an ideal role for a high potential Finance professional preparing to pursue his/her CFA designation or Finance graduate work.
Core Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or advanced degree highly desirable.
- 4-7 years of Mortgage Services industry experience; Financial Servicing experience highly desirable
- The position requires an individual who can work within a team in a highly demanding environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong data analysis knowledge and intermediate skill set on SQL management queries.
- Highly regarded for teamwork, flexibility, integrity, ethics, professionalism, and communication skills (written and oral).
- Career-oriented with a proven track record of accomplishment.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented team player with superior analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to both take direction and show initiative
