Your team

This role is part of APAC and Middle East divisional tech function. You will be part of cross functional tech team who mission is to launch a new investment mobile app to APAC countries. Initially we will launch a stocks and shares offering, however we have big plans to launch a crypto offering also. You will be joining a strategic part of the company and be actively contributing to a key revenue stream.

Your role in the Team's Success

Your primary responsibility will be building the react native mobile app that will integrate with API’s hosted on AWS. You will be part of a team of software engineers building features end to end and work with other teams in IG as well as our third-party integration provider. 

What you'll do

• Design and develop high-quality, production-ready features for our React Native application 

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver features with excellent UX  

• Implement secure authentication flows and session management. 

• Optimize application performance, focusing on responsiveness and efficiency  

• Resolve complex technical issues and improve application architecture  

• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers  

• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure reliability  

• Work in an Agile environment, applying methodologies such as pair programming, test-driven development (TDD), and behaviour-driven development (BDD). 

What you'll need for this role

• 7+ years of professional experience with React Native development  

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency  

• Familiarity with charting libraries and real-time data visualisation 

• Understanding of RESTful APIs and secure data handling  

• Knowledge of React Native performance optimisation techniques  

• Familiarity with native modules and third-party integrations  

• Experience with automated testing frameworks for React Native 

• Understanding of App Store and Google Play submission processes
