A Day in the LifeThe Senior Business Analyst – Global Trade Services (GTS) will lead the implementation and support of global trade logistics and compliance processes within SAP ERP systems. This role involves configuring and maintaining SAP GTS (versions 10.1, 11.0, and Hana E4H), integrating with SAP SD/MM modules, and managing interfaces with external systems, brokers, and customs authorities. The analyst will design functional specifications for RICEF objects, coordinate testing and change management, and ensure adherence to SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies. Responsibilities include supporting SAP lifecycle projects, upgrades, and migrations while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.Responsibilities may include following and other duties may be assigned:
- Responsible for implementation of global trade logistics and distribution configuration and processes within the SAP ERP system.
- Configures and supports SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) for international distribution operations and global trade compliance.
- Utilizes SAP R/3 4.7 and ECC 6.0 modules SD (Sales and Distribution) and (MM) Materials Coordination for cross-functional integration and dependencies. Utilizes SAP GTS Hana (E4H), SAP-GTS 10.1 and 11.0 configuration and support Compliance, Customs and Risk.
- Coordinates SAP EDI/IDOC interfaces with non-SAP systems, brokers, customs authorities, and data providers. Runs HPALM test script writing and execution, incident & change coordination maintenance and tracking, and MS-Office utilization.
- Provides for the design of functional specifications for applying RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) SAP GTS solutions including integrating GTS with non-SAP, bolt-on, or cloud applications.
- Coordinates Testing Enterprise Change Requests (ECR’s) in integrated environments. Adheres to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Waterfall, Agile and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle). Utilizes SAP Life Cycle implementation project responsibilities and deliverables, migrating business operations to SAP, deploying SAP upgrades.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in SAP GTS
- SAP R/3 4.7 and ECC 6.0 modules SD (Sales and Distribution) and (MM) Materials Coordination for cross-functional integration and dependencies.
- SAP GTS Hana (E4H), SAP-GTS 10.1 and 11.0 configuration and support Compliance, Customs and Risk.
- SAP EDI/IDOC interfaces with non-SAP systems, brokers, customs authorities, and data providers.
