Job Title: IT Service Desk Engineer

Location: LnW India - Bangalore office

Job Type: Full-time

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Service Desk Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to users across India remotely. This is a technical role requiring expertise in troubleshooting desktops/laptops, managing deskside applications, performing level 1 network troubleshooting, managing the IT knowledgebase, software installation and configuration, user training, documentation, and proficiency in incident management tools like Jira. The ideal candidate should be a proactive team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting Desktops/Laptops: Provide timely and effective resolution to hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

Manage Deskside Applications: Ensure smooth operation of deskside applications and provide support to end-users as needed.

Level 1 Network Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve basic network connectivity issues, escalate complex problems to the appropriate teams when necessary.

Manage IT Knowledgebase: Regularly update and maintain the IT knowledgebase with troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and other relevant documentation.

Software Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and update software applications according to company policies and user requirements.

User Training and Documentation: Conduct user training sessions on IT tools and procedures, create user-friendly documentation for common tasks and procedures.

Expertise in Incident Management Tools: Utilize incident management tools like Jira to track, prioritize, and resolve IT issues efficiently.

Good Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, share knowledge and best practices, contribute to team goals and initiatives.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience in a similar technical support role.

Strong understanding of desktop/laptop hardware and software components.

Familiarity with network protocols and basic troubleshooting techniques.

Proficiency in incident management tools like Jira.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and environments.

IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
