Purpose of Position: We are looking for a seasoned Data Scientist to join our dynamic team in the Diageo India (USL). This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical background, a passion for consumer behavior and market dynamics, and a knack for translating data into strategic insights. You will work across business functions—marketing, sales, supply chain, and product innovation—to build data-driven strategies that shape the future of our brands.

Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Data Science Statistics, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline.

Required skillset:

Experience in advanced analytics, data science, or machine learning, with at least 3 years in a management role.

Proven track record of deploying analytics and AI/ML solutions in complex, regulated, or data-scarce environments.

Hands-on experience with Python/R, SQL, cloud ML platforms, and data visualization tools.

Nice to Have:

Prior experience working in a regulated industry or CPG.

Prior experience designing ML/AI solutions for Sales/Commercial and Marketing users to drive revenue directly, and with Supply Chain/Corporate functions to drive efficiencies

​ Key Accountabilities:

• Design, Develop and Deploy predictive and prescriptive models that demonstrate measurable business impact.
• Ensure high model accuracy, explainability and compliance.
• Translate analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for business and functional leaders.
• Understand digital products ecosystem (Saas and custom apps) , work with Product owners and design data-driven insights in data lake , integrated to products
• Partner with Data engineering to ensure data quality, readiness and availability for analytics initiatives.
• Evangelize AI along with the Analytics Product Owner across the organization
• Lead upskilling and development of analytics talent for project resources, and internal users and stakeholders.
