We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to join Procore’s Product & Technology Team. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative, top-rated global platform. We’re a customer-centric group that encompasses engineering, product, product design and data, security and business systems.
In this Senior Manager of Software Engineering role, you’ll lead the development team building, maintaining, and operating Procore's strategic integrations. You’ll partner with internal development teams and external organizations to create high value integrations that extend Procore's capabilities and simplify customer's workflows. Use your people management skills, software engineering experience, and knowledge of APIs, SDKs, and integrations to build, maintain, and operate the strategic integrations that Procore's customers require.
This position reports into the Director of Engineering for Ecosystem and will be based in our Pune or Bengaluru office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately. Apply today to join our team of Groundbreakers.
What you’ll do:
- Lead a team of software engineers to build, enhance, and operate strategic integrations that Procore maintains
- Identify hiring needs and partner with recruiting through the hiring process
- Establish a cadence of regular software delivery utilizing Agile methods
- Ensure that engineers satisfy their job responsibilities through individual coaching, code reviews, and regular check-ins
- Enhance software quality by driving test automation and quality gates into the CI/CD process
- Provide technical leadership to building a robust and scalable integrations that support billions of API calls
- Help identify and propose solutions for technical and organizational gaps in our integration capabilities and APIs
- Ensure integrations are working properly and establishing proper incident management processes to work through outages
- Establish and maintain an on-call schedule for integration support
- Work alongside other engineering teams to influence product roadmaps and develop solutions that expand our integration capabilities
- Provide opportunities for career development through promotion, technical growth, and stretch assignments
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years experience managing teams of varying sizes and timezones
- 7+ years total experience as a Software Engineer
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred
- Experience in leading fast paced integration engineering teams
- Integration experience with iPaaS platforms (Workato, Boomi, Zapier, MuleSoft, etc..)
- Familiarity with Ruby, TypeScript, and React
- Ability to lead large initiatives and evaluate current technical and organizational approaches
- Ready to get hands dirty to solve complex problems
- Passionate about integration technology, tooling, industry trends, and best practices
