Leadership & Strategy
- Execute modem technology and platform strategy for enterprise and industrial IoT products.
- Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing modem engineering organization.
- Own workforce planning, hiring, contractor management, and resource allocation.
- Drive operational excellence through metrics, quality initiatives, process improvements, and automation.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Mentor engineering leaders and support talent development and succession planning.
- Represent modem engineering in leadership reviews, planning discussions, and customer escalations.
Engineering Delivery
- Own end-to-end modem engineering delivery across new product development, feature releases, and product maintenance.
- Lead modem software, firmware integration, and platform development activities.
- Define execution plans, milestones, and resource strategies.
- Partner with Product Management on roadmap planning and feature prioritization.
- Manage technical engagements with chipset vendors, ODMs, carriers, and suppliers.
- Drive alignment across firmware, hardware, RF, platform software, cloud connectivity, and validation teams.
- Identify and mitigate technical, delivery, and resource risks.
- Expand automation, testing, and quality frameworks to improve product quality and delivery predictability.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in modem, wireless, embedded systems, telecommunications, or related domains.
- 5+ years of engineering leadership experience managing modem, wireless, or embedded software teams.
- Proven track record delivering complex modem or embedded software programs.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across firmware, hardware, validation, testing, and systems engineering.
- Strong expertise in workforce planning, hiring, resource management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working with chipset vendors, ODMs, manufacturers, and carrier organizations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, including managing globally distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading modem engineering teams across multiple product generations.
- Expertise in automation, validation, and quality engineering practices.
- Knowledge of Linux kernel, BSP integration, embedded drivers, and platform bring-up.
- Understanding of wireless/RF technologies, carrier certification, and interoperability testing.
- Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
