Summary of the Role
The Senior Manager QA supports, coordinates, and facilitates structured quality improvement activities aligned with Amadeus business goals. They foster a culture of quality by providing strategic guidance and influencing change across all levels of the organization. This role reports to the QA Head of Hotel IT and is responsible for guiding Hotel reservation product quality.
You’ll need the ability to see the big picture and work at a detailed level to improve overall product and program quality. You’ll thrive in an engaging and evolving environment and demonstrate success in follow-through and collaboration. You’ll interact with various stakeholders including Product Management, Development, Release Management, and Implementation, and will provide QA feedback and propose improvements where needed.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Be a practical Technical Manager who supports and develops an effective QA team that meets agreed goals and delivers continuous improvements.
- Communicate progress on operations and programs across all levels and stakeholders.
- Stay current with tools and trends in software testing, including leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize testing efficiency.
- Collaborate across teams and locations to ensure smooth delivery for customers, proactively communicating risks.
- Guide the development and implementation of testing tools and frameworks to support effective testing.
About the Ideal Candidate
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes; experience in the travel domain is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in automation testing for both user interface and backend applications.
- Experience in test automation and non-functional testing (security, performance, and usability).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud-native applications.
- Proficient in scripting using technologies like Robot, Playwright, Selenium, or Protractor.
Education and Years of Experience
- Graduate (Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology)
- Experience: 13 to 17 years
